Just Walk Away

I had a dream last night that I was killed in a car accident. I knew I was going to die, then it happened. I remember realizing I was dead and glad to not have felt any pain. I just stood on the side of the road and looked at the mess, then walked away.

I suppose that is all we can do, though, to just walk away. There would be nothing left to do or say. Whatever it was we wanted to do or say before that moment better have been done and said.

I remember thinking that I had a new life ahead, and that I would miss my family, but that there was nothing I could do about it. It was very dark ahead, and I remember thinking that I would have to create my own light. Just like the light I created when I walked into this existence.
