Humanity is not moving towards peace. Not the kind of peace that will change the hearts of men, women, and children. Jealousy brews from the obvious and flaunted divide between the have and the have-nots. The jealousy stems from the uneducated, the lazy, the entitled, the frustrated, and sometimes those who really are victims of the narcissistic behavior that seems to permeate all classes. As the jealousy brews, as it infects individuals, the ability for those same souls to find peace in their hearts diminishes. The infection spreads, carried by words and thoughts, seeded in every square mile of the planet. The antidote is difficult, if not impossible, to administer. Containment is equally difficult. No amount of education is enough, as the educators are often infected with the same feelings.
Change is attempted but rarely victorious. Even when it is, and the tables have turned, it is only a matter of time when there is yet again an obvious and flaunted divide between the have and the have-nots. The ideal of “peace” is not yet a full strand in the DNA of humanity.
